In search of reliable, caring and energetic Sophomores - Seniors to join the Circle of Friends program. If you are interested in becoming a COF member, please see Ms. Lowe for an application. We have numerous activities already planned for the 25-26 school year! Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and be in good standing with the school.
Through Circle of Friends, general education students are paired with Special Education students to create a supportive and caring relationship. This program allows both groups of students to grow and mature over the course of their involvement by providing an environment of inclusion, acceptance and understanding. Having strong peer role modeling will further help all of the kids involved to build self-esteem, develop positive social skills, and create a support network outside of their family. The Circle of Friends program seeks to aid in reducing instances of bullying and negative behavior within the school by producing leaders within our school communities.
Sometimes school and life can feel overwhelming, and it helps to have someone to talk to. Our school social worker is here to support you with things like stress, friendships, family concerns, mental health, problem-solving, or just having a safe place to share what’s on your mind. You don’t have to go through challenges alone. If you’d like to set up a time to meet with Mrs. Nowak, please click on the link below — your request will be kept private and handled with care.
